Hmm... currently, i'm seriously thinking about Battle up North and Southern Wars.
The past week has been filled with empty promises. I'm not in a very good shape. Managed to put some cycling in but I do not think its enough. Those two major events are less than two weeks to go. And I'm seriously in a really, really bad condition.
For the past one week, I only manage to put in a total of (almost) 2 hrs worth of aerobic work. A 15min run (if you can call a 15min, 8.5kmh session a run) and another 1.5hrs on the bike which covers a mere 45km. Sheesh, I use to do a 3+hrs ride on weekends. and at times in excess of 120kms.. The treadmill is OUT again (for the umpteenth time) and there is no ergo around. How am I going to do this?
Anyway, the best thing is, I manage to record a new high in MHR, which hits a ceiling of 217, and I'm able to operate at in excess of 190bpm. I never knew I could still do that and not feel overly tired. That's a start. The result of all this workout? I'm DEHYDRATED big time... and today, I'm feeling the effects of it.
Verdict? I DO need to take care of myself better... really. The trip up North? I'm still keeping my option open.

Do that mean...
...that blood really became sweeter?...
Hahaha, its just a figurative Malay word to describe the condition one's in when they are engaged, or 'darah manis'. Nope, its doesn't mean that the blood become sweeter. Btw, this morning as I came back from picking up my staff's tag (Scoob is taking hers too) from the 4th floor, as we went out of the lift, she showed me her hands.
'Bon, aku dah tunang'. She looked happy. And that ring looks very nice indeed.
'Hahaha, congrats. That would make your boyfriend happy, right?'
'Aku pulak yang berdebar. My hearts cant stop thumping' she says, matter-of-factly.
Hehehe, she sure is a romantic at heart. Anyway, best of luck to you Scoob. We'll always wish the best for you. Hope everything will be OK between you and your fiancee after this. Don't forget to invite us to your wedding, eh?

Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...
The date for The Battle up North and Southern War are drawing near. And I'm nowhere near battle condition. Keep postponing training, finding excuses rather than drag my fatty arse to the nearest Torture Machine. Mere mention of that machine gives me goosebumps...
Met The Competitor a couple of nights back. He looks 'leaner'. It could be the fact that he's wearing black, and the slimmer silhoutte that noir gives, belie the actual state. Nonchalantly he remarked,
'Sorry la lambat, baru abis buat 6000 tadi'. Aha! So he's actually been training all this while.
'How long?' I asked him for the time taken to finish that (quite) gruelling workout.
'Masa teruk jugak, finish dalam 24 minutes...' he answers with a smile (seems like a wry one if you ask me)
What the F! That mean an easy 2:00 pace (which I could do for more than 1 hour before). That should indicate he'd be able to clock a low 7:00 race. Damn. He's too far in front.
'By the way, I might not be battling you. I'm going for the VIP race instead', he states matter-of-factly. That doesn't make the news any better. With 3 weeks to go, I need to start training, fast. Have to train. MUST train.
I'll start next week...
